"The Wings of the Deceiver"
I made this piece to represent the dual nature of corruption, both systemic and personal. The angels depicted here are not celestial beings of light but the true orchestrators of oppression: politicians, billionaires, and religious cult leaders who wear the masks of saviors while tightening their grip on the world. They embody the hypocrisy of power—figures who preach virtue while feeding on suffering, who promise salvation while ensuring that no one ever truly escapes. Their outstretched hands do not offer rescue. Instead, they reinforce a carefully constructed illusion, a system designed to keep souls trapped in an endless cycle of false hope and subjugation.
At the center stands Beelzebub’s sigil, not as an external evil but as the natural consequence of unchecked ambition and greed. Beelzebub is often associated with gluttony, corruption, and moral decay, not as a singular demonic force but as a reflection of human excess and the insatiable hunger for power. His presence here signifies the inevitable downfall that comes when greed eclipses morality. It is not demons that corrupt. It is the relentless pursuit of control, the willingness to sacrifice ethics for influence and wealth. The angels, with their golden promises and righteous façades, are the true architects of the world’s suffering, bending faith, law, and economy to serve their own ends.
And then there is the ghostly figure—detached, unbound, indifferent. It does not beg for salvation, nor does it hunger for power. It stands outside the system entirely, mocking the illusion of righteousness and the self-inflicted downfall of those who chase dominion. It is rebellion, liberation, and the refusal to play the game. True freedom does not come from salvation or corruption. It comes from seeing beyond the false dichotomy, rejecting the illusion, and stepping beyond the reach of the so-called angels.
